Exmouth

Harry Field, a sometime 1st Cox on No 38 ASRU Exmouth during WWII, proposed that a plaque be displayed in the town to commemorate its existence. The Exmouth Branch of RAFA have kindly taken on the task and have arranged with the Exmouth RAFA Club to exhibit the plaque in their premises. The acceptance ceremony will take place at 7.00 pm for 7.30 pm on Thursday 23rd August 2007 at the RAFA Club Exmouth, when the Lady Mayoress of Exmouth will accept the plaque on behalf of the Town. After the ceremony, all will be invited to a reception in the Club. Those ASR/MCS Club members who live in and around the town have had a private invitation. However, all members near and far are invited to join in with their comrades. In order to organise the catering for the numbers who will attend. If you are coming please contact either Norman Brierley on 01395-275218 (President of the Exmouth RAFA Branch) or John Parsons, ASR/MCS Club Membership Secretary on 01293-529791.
